  Nice house, perfect for ladies/each bedroom had its own vanity area, two bathrooms, close to the Village shops. Well-stocked kitchen, comfortable living area with gas fireplace, full-sized washer and dryer, plenty of towels, TP, etc. Spacious hot tub. Backs to railroad track-not too busy but a couple trains/day. Spiral staircase needs some attention/felt wobbly. Refrigerator and stove need updating. A flashlight (super dark outside)and snow shovel, along with better lighting for outside and hot tub area would be great. A few holiday decorations would add to the holiday vibe (we stayed over Christmas). SHARC passes were great (we didn’t use but definitely a bonus). Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

  We had a nice stay. The outdoor temperatures were in the high 80s-low 90s during our stay. The house is not air conditioned, so just know if you choose to stay in summer it will be very warm in the house mid-day. It cools off well at night though.

  The only complaint about the rental is the location very close to the railroad tracks so that when the trains passed by it sounded as if they were coming through the house. Very loud.

  This is our second stay at Timber 8. We're a family of 4 with a dog. We love the location-- easy to get to the Village, Marina, the SHARC, and the highway. The house is secluded enough for us to let our dog run in the back. The train track and train sounds didn't bother us. We were having trouble with the grill & Sunset Lodging responded immediately. There isn't any AC in the house but there are fans. We brought some extras. The only down side was when we stayed it was very dry and dusty. With the windows open, it created a film of dust inside. This didn't stop us from having a great time. We can't wait to stay here again.

I probably wouldn't take any more people and wouldn't take my parents (in their 60s) due to the steep spiral staircase and single full bathroom. However, it was great for our family. We appreciated that it was dog friendly and was a short bike ride away from the Village and SHARC. The property was clean and the online instructions made it easy to check in and out.

  This was a cozy and bright house to stay in. We had three adults, my husband and I and our adult son. The bedrooms were ample and quite comfortable with plenty of storage space. The kitchen was well equipped and had a great table to sit at and watch the outdoors. The home was clean and comfortable, with a hot tub and barbecue grill too. The WIFI was great as we had to use it for remote working at times. It is near the train tracks, but we loved seeing them go by and they didn't run much at night. It is located on a private cul de sac, a bit away from the village but not so far you couldn't walk if you wanted to get some exercise. The house has a spiral staircase that leads to the upstairs bedrooms, which may be difficult if you are an older person with limited mobility or have very small children. The master bathroom is shared (jack & Jill type) and has pretty tight quarters, however, each room has a mirror and table for dressing and the lighting is great, and there is storage for your toiletries there too. The decor could use a little updating in this house, but overall, a wonderful unit in a forest like setting with plenty of amenities, including a covered carport for your car which we really appreciated as it was windy and snowed too!

  We had a wonderful time! The house was clean and comfortable for our family of 5 and I loved that there was a washer and dryer! The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and there were lots of games to choose from. Our teens learned to play poker thanks to the poker chips, we spent a lot of time in the hot tub star gazing, and just enjoying the scenery. The WiFi was great, I was able to work without any problem, while the kids attended classes. The train startled us the first time (we were outside) but it was, surprisingly, not really noticeable when inside living life.

  We had a great time summer time vacation in Sunriver. The house was perfect for a family of 3-4. The house was very clean and well organized. Although small the layout is such that we never felt crowded. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils compact and easy to work in. The back deck and hot tube was large and somewhat prsomewhat private. The upstairs beds are newer and comfortable and the ceilings are vaulted. There are plenty of windows which helped with natural lighting and quickly cooling down the place at night after hot 90+ days. The train tracks are near by but the house sits lower than them so we heard the trains once or twice during the week when we had the windows open all night. We could easily bike to fort rock park and the village in about 10 minutes.

  Excellent smaller home close to SHARC and Fort Rock Park. Two adults and our 9 and 6 year old children had a wonderful time. As always, the home was clean and well equipped for living. We prepare almost all meals at the rental and appreciate the kitchen and grill. The hot tub was a great hit with kids. We enjoyed a little rafting on Deschutes through Sunriver and the SHARC passes allowed us to use the boat launches. Great stay. We will be back.

  Timber 8 was the perfect house for our family vacation. All the living space was downstairs. Plenty of room to relax (the sofas are new and very comfortable!), prepare meals (great kitchen with forest view) and big eating area. It was nice to have the 2 spacious rooms with lots of storage (and hiding places for the kids) upstairs. The Jack & Jill bathroom worked great for us. There is a somewhat small spiral staircase up, but wasn't an issue for us. The hot tub was big and so relaxing after a day of exploring or for one more dip after a day or evening at thec SHARC. THE SHARC passes allowed us to park down by the river to tube as well. We would definitely go back and Timber 8 would be great. Excellent location too. The train was loud the first time we heard it and then we didn't really notice or mind and it was fun to watch each day.

Spiral staircase is a wee bit problematic on luggage going up and down and would not recommend this for aging folks or people with very young children beacsue of the wide pipe rail railing, but it was the best equipped kitchen wise of any rental that we have used in a long time and by the 3rd morning the train had become white noise. Thoroughly enjoyable
