The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for the family cook. With two large dining tables that seat 10 and bar stools that surround the kitchen island, the whole family can enjoy a wonderfully cooked meal, making wonderful memories while on vacation. This setting is perfect for those holiday dinners.

Jackpine #9 has 4 master suites 3 equipped with king beds and the 4th one equipped with a queen. Two additional bedrooms have kings and the 7th bedroom has 2 queen over queen bunk beds. There is a sofa sleeper in the loft area and a twin roll-a-way for an extra place to lay your head.

The living room has plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy a movie in front of the gas fireplace. The large flat screen TV also has a DVD/Blu-ray player with lots of movies to choose from. There are 7 additional TVs in the home.


During the summer, you wont have to worry about the hot weather as this home is equipped with A/C.
Enjoy BBQs out on the patio or a soak in your private hot tub after a long day of skiing or a long bike ride along the beautiful Sunriver bike paths. Jackpine #9 has 12 bikes for your pleasure.

  This is a great vacation house for a large group. Ours was 18 (10 children/8 adults). There's plenty of room for all. Sunset Lodging responded great the two times we called them and both times the issue was resolved. The rental was clean, nice and quiet location. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have rented in the 20 years our family has been getting together. Given the ages of our grandchildren, it did require driving to the SHARQ or to play pickleball - too far to walk or ride bikes. For adults or older children, bikes would be fine for these activities. I would recommend this property for large groups.

  Lovely house with natural wood features throughout. Felt like a true cabin! very close to the village which made for an easy walk or bike ride. Plenty of bikes in the garage but a couple were in need of repairs such as fixing seats or flat tires. Not an issue for us though. 3 car garage and 2 additional fridges were a nice touch as well. Look forward to staying here again next year.

  Our family of 17 stayed here for a week. There were 6 different couples, some with kids, some with no kids and one set of grandparents.
  
  Every couple mentioned how much they liked the house and how it worked for them. There was plenty of room. There were lots of bikes in the garage to choose from. There were 3 refrigerators so we had plenty of room in the kitchen for all of our food.

  • Well appointed – JKP09 had almost everything we needed. Large towels for hot tub/pools were nice touch.
  • Keyless entry a plus – did not have to be concerned about losing key – all guests could have the code
  • We organized own recycling – created own collection containers. There were directions of where to take recycled items.
  
  Suggestions:
  • More consistent internet – ours went off and on frequently. Impacted watching sports programs and the occasional work-related meetings and emails.
  • We short people (those 5’5” and under) need a step stool to easily get up to high mattress without pole vaulting – at least in the Master BR.
  • No collection containers for recycling: cans, bottles, paper.

  Our 7-women group truly enjoyed Jackpine 9. We each had our own space as there are 7 bedrooms. And the kitchen/living room/dining space is all open, so we could all get around a table to work on puzzles, or form smaller conversation groups that ebbed and flowed between the rooms. The sitting areas around the fireplace were a favorite early morning hang-out. It was just a few minutes drive (could have even walked), to some nearby restaurants. And we made good use of short walks around the development, along the golf courses or over to the river. Also enjoyed a drive to some fun shopping in Bend old mill district, and a beautiful walk on the Deschutes River Walk trail in lava rocks area. One evening we had much fun and laughs around the pool table.

  This was our first overnight stay in Sunriver and we had a wonderful time. The home was ideal for our large group. 3 bedrooms downstairs, 4 up. Great layout. We took full advantage of the SHARC passes that were provided and rode bikes all day, everyday. The home was well maintained with a fully stocked kitchen. 2 ovens and the extra refrigerators in the garage enabled us to bring and easily prepare our food for the week. One very minor complaint was the lack of clocks in the bedrooms. Adults didn't mind but little ones woke EARLY and without a clock they didn't know just how early it was! We hiked at Benham Falls, enjoyed Fork Rock, played Frisbie Golf rode our bikes to the river and went fishing up the Deschutes. If you want to stay a short distance from the Village, parks and the SHARC center, this home is a great location. If you prefer stay closer to the river, look for a place off circle 6 or higher. The staff at Sunset Lodging were extremely helpful from the time I booked the reservation and throughout our stay. They were easily accessible and didn't mind trivial questions! The online property description was accurate.

  It was a spacious house with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for our entire family. The back deck needs to be redone, the decking material not in good shape. the deck also needs more pizzaz. The pool table was a hit with the grands. SHARC was closed because of covid outbreak. Lots of great bikes for everyone.

  This was our third year at this house, we love that it is big enough to accommodate our entire family comfortably and the location is great, close enough to walk to the village if you do not want to ride your bike.
  the only negative is the shower head in the bathroom of the "fishing room" still just has a "trickle" of water. this has not changed since the first year we used this home. Also the mattress cover on the front bedroom was too small for the bed so the sheets kept coming off. We like the improvements the new owners have done to the home. Overall our experience was great, we will definitely be booking this home again in the future.

  We had a wonderful stay at this house. It is beautiful inside, large and roomy. A good location for us too. As with any rental there were a couple of problems but when you called for service or help they were there to give us what we needed. The manager gave us excellent customer service and was very kind, friendly and helpful. We have been staying in Sunriver through Sunset Lodging for over 15 years and have nothing but good things to say about them. Very happy with them. I would recommend this property to my friends and relatives. We enjoyed eating at the Cafe Sintra, excellent service and very good food! Also, the Belly Burger place has excellent burgers and fries! A quiet community where anything you need is there, also a grocery store too.

  100% Perfect house for a family Christmas Reunion. The lay out is exactly right, with a huge great room/dual dining areas/ and kitchen with a massive eating bar to congregate around. All 20 plus guests could be involved in one conversation. The plus is that most of the bedrooms are removed from the great room and the early to bed, early to rise were not kept up by the more "rambunctious" group. House is far enough out to be very quiet, but close enough to walk or bike to the center without too much exertion. It was Great!

  This unit had plenty of space for our family group of 9 adults and seven kids. The queen-bedded bunk room was a delight for the older kids and the bikes were well used. Tons of kitchenware assisted the foodies in our group. They saw heaven upon viewing the two blocks full of great knives. We nearly abused the bike paths and would have done so also to the SHARC but the weather was rainy at the beginning of our week and the kids came back after a 45 minute SHARC visit with blue lips.
  We all enjoyed hikes around Crater Lake, the Newberry Volcanic Monument, the Deschutes and Benham Falls, and the parks in Bend. The refrigerators stayed primed with local brews. Great stay, wish it were closer.

  Wife's family of 4 sisters plus husbands, 92 year old mom, a few adult children and grandkids (14 in all) much enjoyed our stay at 9 Jackpine over the Christmas holiday. There was plenty of room for gathering and enough privacy for balance, the home was well equipped, clean and comfortable (though we might have liked a little more great-room lighting) and very convenient for walking to the Lodge or the Village Mall or around the big meadow. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and serving dishes, and we had enough pantry space for all the food we brought and counter space adequate for building gingerbread houses. With bikes (before the snow fell on Christmas morning), pool table, TV (and DVD player), games and a hot tub there was plenty to do for this active family. The Sunset Lodging staff were always responsive and helpful, and we would definitely return to this property for another family gathering.

  This is a very nice house that has enough room for multiple families. Location is excellent, within walking or riding distance to the store. The only issue with the house and the reason I knocked off one star is that it doesn't have a second refrigerator. I've rented many houses in Sunriver and this is the first house of this size that does not have a second refrigerator for drinks. We adapted and used coolers with ice for drinks.
