With Shagbark #12 you'll find all the comforts of home in this comfortable, two-story home. The large living area has an inviting fireplace. The living area adjoins the kitchen and dining area, with access to multiple decks, complete with a barbecue. There is outside living on both sides of the home.



The master bedroom is upstairs with a king bed, the master bathroom has a soaking tub if you want to relax after a long day of recreation in Central Oregon.
Two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed and one with two bunk beds.

  I have rented this home several times and it does not disappoint. It’s in a great area, quiet and not far from the store if you need something quick it’s only a few minute bike ride. Always see deer. I do like they added double bunk beds and a ping pong table to the home. The only thing that would have been nice would have been to be able to use the tennis court that abuts the property. It was locked and only for members.

  This home is very comfortable with a great deck and front yard. A side note is that this home is definitely starting to be dated and needing some updates. Linings are showing wear, coffee maker needs to be replaced, kitchen knifes are terrible, window blinds are worn out and don't work properly are just to name a few issue. With that said, this home is a solid rental. Location is awesome: close to Fort Rock, the grocery store, Woodlands golf course, north sunriver, and a straight shot to the the Sharc. The home has no A/C. Can be a issue in the hot months.

  Super quiet location that we loved. Nothing is updated in the house but the house is fully functioning and met our needs as a family with a pup. I'd recommend bringing your own bikes as they just have cruisers, which are great, but there are some tough hills in the area that are tough. Loads of outdoor spaces to hang out/eat/have a drink, beautiful lawn and all in all we'd for sure come back to stay.

  Very enjoyable stay. The kitchen i extremely well-stocked except for wine glasses. There was only one so I purchased some for our stay. Beautiful big yard that looked gorgeous in the snow.
  Drawbacks were that the door from laundry leading to hottub was lacking it's outside light. As the area was solid ice due to dripping from balcony above, it made for dangerous conditions. The front porch was another ice issue. We were happy to shove but I think some salt should have been left to sprinkle.
  The day we arrived all the firewoood was soaked and frozen together but a call to Sunset Lodging fixed that right away. Wood was delivered and carried upstairs to last for our stay.
  Most of our time was spent at Mt. Bachelor a short drive away. The kids wished for a nearby sledding hill. This property would really be even better in the summer.We did lunch at Bend Brewery and the food was great.
  Every person we Talked with was exceptionally friendly. We plan to come back.

  A very nice home. Recently re-carpeted. Comfortable furnishings with a king bed master suite upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed the other with 2 bunk beds. Very nice, workable kitchen with large pantry. Decks all around and lawn (being mowed as we were leaving). It is adjacent to a single tennis court but it was being resurfaced and not able to use it. 4 Good bikes and 4 tennis rackets. Very close to the Woodlands golf course. Quiet neighborhood. Complete super market close by with gas as well.
  Only drawback is that it is located about two miles by road or bike path from the Village, maybe 1 1/2 miles from the SHARC. Skylights made the upper level very bright but also warm. Could use blinds. We left bedroom door and window open at night and it cooled off nicely. A/C would be a welcome addition.

  Turned out to a great house for our family reunion. Not having AC was hard as the upper(main floor/master bedroom) was quite warm at times. However The hot tub was awesome. And the kitchen was nicely stocked. Even having grass was a bonus!! Would definitely rent this home again!

  We had a great second stay at this house (we stayed summer 2016). We have stayed in numerous Sun River vacation homes and we love this one the best so far. It's great for our family of 4 although can fit 6 we didn't use the extra queen bedroom. The king mattress seems to be new and updated from last year and was super comfortable. We also liked the new leather sectional. We missed the burley trailer that was there last year and the kayak. We will be booking again for next summer.

  Shagbark 12 was a great place to stay for our Sunriver vacation. It was spacious and comfortable. With decks and outdoor furniture on three sides of the house, we could always find a comfortable spot to enjoy coffee or a glass of wine outside. The location was great, quiet but easy walking distance to the North Store. We brought our dogs and the property showed no evidence of previous dogs. We will definitely try to book a stay here again.

  How lucky we were to arrive for our first-ever stay in Sunriver just after a major snowfall had covered the forest floor and branches with a layer of deep, white snow. Beautiful!
  Shagbark 12 provided a cozy shelter from the single-digit temps and a multi-directional view of the winter wonderland outside. Lots of wood was available for the fireplace, an important feature of the winter holiday experience.
  We especially liked the open layout on the main floor, which allowed us to cook and chat and explore new gifts in a shared space. The kitchen is well-appointed for family cooking. Master suite is spacious and convenient to the living space.
  The downstairs provides a functional space which includes two bedrooms, a full bath and a laundry room. (Didn't stay long enough to need the washer and dryer, so can't comment on those.)
  We looked rather longingly at the SHARC passes hanging neatly on the wall, but with our time focused on holiday activities, we did not have an opportunity to use them. (Same with the bikes and kayaks.) Maybe we will be able to come enjoy these amenities during a summer visit in the future.
  Sunset Lodging personnel were easy to work with on the phone and understanding when I called after our departure to warn them that I had forgotten to turn on the dishwasher before leaving. Other than that, the rental process was so smooth and the house so well-prepared for us that we never had to have any contact.
  Don't know Sunriver well enough to comment intelligently about the location, but it worked fine for us.
  Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

  We really enjoyed this rental. We had a great time hiking and going to the Sharc. The giant bathtub in the master suite was especially nice. We did wish there were nicer/sharper kitchen knives as they made cooking more of a chore and also some beach towels to take to the Sharc.

  Loved everything about this home. It was nice to be surrounded by a lush green lawn where the kids could go play. Plenty of decks and outdoor seating. The house was very clean and comfortable. The adults could hang out upstairs and the kids were downstairs playing games. The house was equipped with everything from bikes, kayaks, and a canoe to all types of indoor and out door games. It has a nice quiet location, however its a short walk to Mavericks and the store. It was a pleasure working with this property management team they were very friendly and helpful.   I rented this for friends coming from out of state, so don't have personal experience in the house. From what they said, it was a good experience. Check-in was friendly and helpful; the house was clean. There were several items broken, and one friend stepped on a loose part in the shower and almost fell. Front door lock didn't work, etc. We reported during their stay and items were quickly repaired - thank you! You might explain to guests what "rec fee" is for. They thought it was only for SHARC which they couldn't use because of crowds.

  Over all stay was great. The location is very nice but far from SHARC and village. Not a bad thing just something to consider. The furnishings are nice but better beds, in all rooms, would make this perfect. Deck space is great as is the layout of.the whole house- great for hosting a get together with other families. We would stay here again.

  The house was nice and well equipped. It had plenty of room for our family. The yard was nice. The house came with extras such as 4 bikes, a hot tub and a canoe. Also, being that during our stay, Sunriver temperatures reached 97 degrees during the day, we appreciated the free Shark passes, the large fans and the refrigerator with an ice maker, which were provided. The location was good and convenient and the house was on a nice quiet street.

  Come prepared to enjoy a delightful home, very spacious and well-furnished. The living area is full of light and large decks look out to a very private landscape. The owners have gone out of their way to provide everything you need & hate having to buy for a weekend stay--aluminum foil, baggies, saran wrap. Their new grill is awesome! You can't do better than this in a rental; it is truly like being at home.

  We had a great stay at Shagbark 12. The home was ideally located at the north end, with a nice buffer of space on all four sides. Decks on front, back and side made for different views & catching sun, and three sets of outdoor furniture gave us seating options galore. The interior had very comfortable furniture, skylights for natural light, and the best equipped kitchen we have seen in our stays. We lacked for nothing, and Sunset even delivered wood- for some crackly fires on those cold nights. The double garage included 3 bikes & dog kennel, and grassy areas outside made for nice games of lawn darts-- although there is also a large green space about 100' behind the home as well. Deer and Quail wandered by, and we loved the solitude and pines. Lots of hiking and photo ops. North store was only 5 minutes away, for those extra goodies. The 10% discount at the Village Grill was nice also. The private deck in front was a favorite for our 11 y.o. German Shepherd, as she enjoyed relaxing as much as we did. We have been renting from Sunset for close to 20 years now, and we are always treated like family. Another winner experience. Kudos to the home owners, we loved the home- and their pride was evident.
