The Deschutes River is nearby and offers a gorgeous sight in all of the seasons. The Cardinal Landing Bridge is just a short walk from the back deck and invites you to cross over to the national forest or stroll along the river on the adjacent bike path. The owners pull out their kayaks at the bridge after a leisurely float down the Deschutes.



In the winter, the fireplace crackles with a friendly wood fire, and the hot tub, surrounded by snow, beckons. In the summer, the focus is the back deck surrounded by forested open space. The sizzling gas BBQ will serve up dinner as deer wander into view and garrulous geese fly low overhead. In the garage, the ping pong table awaits a family tournament and provides family fun year-round.



The house features a king master bedroom with a private bath and two additional bedrooms with queen-sized beds. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a stove with oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The adjacent dining area will seat six for meals as will the patio furniture on the deck.



Amenities include 2 TVs, DVD/CD player, hi-speed internet with WIFI, 4 bikes, and washer and dryer. The laundry/mud room provides ample space for skis or golf clubs. There is a 1-car garage and plenty of parking in front of the home.

  It was wonderful! Two minor things we noticed would have made it absolutely perfect: 1) an axe to chop firewood. There was plenty of wood but mostly in fairly large pieces that didn’t burn very well; and 2) the heat lamps in the bathroom could use a cleaning. Other than that, we loved the property!

  We have rented this unit before so we knew what to expect; a clean, well furnished house. The obvious improvement was the asphalt driveway. When we arrived, we noticed that the usual pile of firewood was absent. A call to the management company resulted a delivery within a hour. The only caveat is to bring two good 3 way bulbs with you if you are readers. The owner puts single dim 60 watt bulbs in the 3 way sockets. In 2016 we bought bulbs at the hardware store and left them upon departing. This visit the dim bulbs were back in place. we bought 3 way LEDs at the hardware store for our visit, but this time we took them home with us. We visited all of the local restaurants and bars (some more than once) We endured the 20 degree mornings to get fresh baked treats from Hot Lava. We enjoy the location near Cardinal Landing and the river, but it was sad to see how low the level was. This area needs rain very badly.

  We had a great time at this property. The three bedroom ranch layout was perfect and the location is great next to the river but still close to the lodge, store, etc.

  We love it Sunriver! We've stayed in so many homes,all very nice.This was our second stay at loon #15. We thought we'd give the location another try this summer.The home is small and cozy,in need of some updates.We booked this home the first time for the location near the river.Unfortunately since the marina is now only for guest with a pass the bridge location is now the only place to put in & take out rafts it seems.We had issues last summer and this summer with the loud rafters and drunks coming off the river lingering for up to an hour waiting for rides to arrive. The NO PARKING signs the police placed at the bridge behind this home didn't seem to be a deterrent. The Sunriver police showed up on their bikes every once in awhile to give verbal warnings which had no impact. We Also had scores of people using the side of the home as a pathway to & from the river. Zero privacy on the back deck,unable to enjoy the hot tub without scores of drunk rafters having a party in the backyard. It was loud every day usually into the evening hours. We Thought they would have done something to control the problem better this summer. Unfortunately on our first day there this year it was even more out of control than the year before. This is really ashamed because the home itself is lovely. Unfortunately it was impossible to enjoy any privacy having dinner or grilling on the back deck.We would rent this home again if the noise and privacy issues were taken care of.

  We had a lovely stay at this vacation was a good size for 5 people, with just a bit of butt bumping in the small kitchen. Suggestions: a new smoke detector (it kept beeping even with a new battery); hooks for towels outside by the hot tub; a window covering in the master bathroom so that the light doesn't spray out into the hot tub area; kindling should be provided for the fireplace; the deck could be shoveled to keep slippery ice from the entrance to the hot tub. For instance, when the kitchen blinds were closed there was disgusting food remnants on the slats, the refrigerator top had about an inch of dust/crude/goo on it, and when checking under the bed before leaving for any of our belongings that may have fallen there (and as suggested in the check-out procedures) I found a sock, food wrappers and dust so thick that when picking up the sock and wrappers the dust sprayed up. I then realized why I was getting congested every night we were there. We told the check-out person about these things. I don't know if these have been cleaned after we complained, and with it unclean for us we were not offered a refund on our cleaning fee.

  This is a great little house with a perfect location - just steps to the river and bike trails. Our son and daughter-in-law came down from Portland for a few days and we took advantage of all the home has to offer. I can't recall anything we wanted for. The house had it all. Also, the laundry room was the ideal spot to sequester our two Goldens at night. We've been vacationing in Sunriver for over thirty years and 15 Loon has been one of the best.

  We have rented homes in Sunriver for years and this location is excellent. The bike path is easy to access and the home is about two houses away from the Cardinal Landing Bridge, which is a great place to enjoy the scenery of the Deschutes.
  
  The home was clean, but does not offer air conditioning, as many homes do not in Sunriver, but with the recent heatwave it would have been welcome.

  My family and I recently spent 3 wonderful days in Sunriver. We were lucky enough to spend the time at Loon #15. It is a well appointed home in excellent condition with everything one might need for an overnighter or an entire week's stay. We appreciated having 4 bikes for us to use during our stay despite it being a little on the chilly side we still enjoyed getting out on the bike trails. The location is great, especially if you are a kayaker as the river is literally a few steps away from the back door. The only request I would make would be to purchase a new Barbeque Grill. The one there was operable but it did not get hot enough to heat up a hotdog let alone cook the steaks that I brought along to enjoy.
